Sharon McPherson

Sharon is the owner and the lead designer of Opus Couture.

Sharon was born and lived in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland where she studied for her first Degree in Textiles, Fashion and Embroidery at York Street College of Art, Belfast.

When Sharon moved to Birmingham she studied at Gosta Green University for a Masters Degree. Having completed seven years of study, she returned home to Northern Ireland to marry her Scottish husband (Stewart) and settle down.

Sharon's first full time job in Bridal Design was with Isabel Love of Carrickfergus, the most prestigious Northern Ireland Bridal Designer and Salon, where she learned many important lessons.

After moving onto Deborah Neils Bridal Salon in Bloomfield Avenue, Belfast, she was extremely fortunate to have the honour to dress, not one, but three Ms Northern Irelands for their own special day.

After spending many years in Northern Ireland, Sharon and her husband decided to move over to Scotland where they set up home in Ayrshire. In 2002, the couple found the ideal property in West Kilbride and in May 2003 the doors of Sharon's very own studio, Opus Couture were opened.
