Finding the perfect Berta wedding dress in Scotland
Planning two ceremonies meant Kirsten needed two dresses: one for her legal wedding in Scotland, and one for the wedding of her dreams at Son Marroig in Mallorca. “I organised my legal ceremony last minute and ordered a simple dress for that,” Kirsten explains. “I wanted to keep my Opus Couture wedding dress for my main big day!”
From the start, Kirsten had a clear vision: “I’ve loved Berta wedding dresses for years. I didn’t realise until months later that the gown I chose was the only dress I’d saved on TikTok before I even started looking — it was meant to be.”

The Opus Couture experience
Opus Couture was Kirsten’s first and only stop on her search for her bridal gown. “The shopping experience was amazing from start to finish.Susan made me feel so at ease and nothing was too much trouble,” Kirsten says. “My mum, mother-in-law and bridesmaids came with me. They all loved the dress and there were a few tears, so I knew it was the one.”

The dress: Berta 24-04
Kirsten fell in love with the breathtaking Berta 24-04 gown, a true example of couture wedding dresses at their finest. The design featured a striking lace chocker and, working closely with Opus Couture, Kirsten personalised it to reflect her vision and venue.
“The back was exposed and didn’t feel right for my venue, so we added lace to the back,” she explains. “We also added a clip-on train to enhance the look.”
Her bridal accessories complemented the gown beautifully: Jimmy Choo heels (a gift from a friend who also officiated her wedding), her Grandma’s wedding ring for her ‘something borrowed’, and classic diamond earrings.
The groom’s look
Kirsten’s husband, Adam Coakley, looked equally stylish in a Forbes suit, surrounded by his best friends, brother, and Kirsten’s brother and brother-in-law as his wedding party.
A luxury wedding in Mallorca
Kirsten’s wedding day at Son Marroig was full of personal and heartfelt moments. Walking down the aisle to a violinist playing Can’t Help Falling in Love, Kirsten says, “I couldn’t stop crying when I saw my little girl walk first, and my dad looked amazing — it was such an emotional moment.”
Their ceremony was officiated by one of Kirsten’s best friends, Reece Donnelly, reflecting the deeply personal nature of the day.
Throughout the reception, guests enjoyed an incredible atmosphere, with entertainment from Tartan Entertainment and saxophonist Elliot G Sax, keeping everyone on their feet all night.
Personal touches and styling inspiration
Kirsten’s wedding was filled with thoughtful details that reflected her creativity and style — from vinyl signage and tambourines with their initials to personalised fans, tissues and handwritten letters for each guest.
Her bridesmaids wore buttermilk lemon gowns from Odd Muse, a perfect blend of contemporary elegance and timeless appeal.
